During the third quarter of 2024, the shoot'em up games category on the Android platform in New Zealand exhibited varied performance among the top five games, according to Sensor Tower data.

1945 Air Force: Airplane games from 1SOFT experienced a peak in weekly revenue of approximately $627 in late August. Downloads showed a notable increase mid-August, reaching up to 897, while its weekly active users rose to around 4.5K by the end of August, later declining to approximately 2.8K by the end of September.

Monster Survivors by VOODOO saw its weekly revenue peak at $313 in late July. The game's downloads were highest at 610 in the last week of September. However, active users fluctuated, peaking at 1.4K in late July before dropping significantly to zero by the end of September.

Survivor.io from Habby maintained strong revenue, peaking at $3.5K in late August. The downloads fluctuated, with a high of 655 in the week of July 22. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 3.8K in late July and decreasing slightly to about 2.8K by the end of the quarter.

Space shooter - Galaxy attack, another title from 1SOFT, showed a consistent revenue pattern, with a peak of $174 in mid-August. The download numbers saw an increase towards the end of September, reaching 534. Active users also showed a rising trend, peaking at 3.1K in late July, before settling at around 2.7K by the end of September.

Finally, Earn to Die Rogue by Not Doppler recorded its highest revenue of $145 at the end of September. Downloads peaked in the first week of July with 575, then decreased, only to rise slightly towards the end of the quarter. Active users peaked at 804 in mid-August but showed a downward trend, finishing the quarter at 682.
